Govt Model Sen Sec School, Sec 33-D, Chandigarh

The Department of School Education, Chandigarh Administration, felicitated 30 teachers of various categories for their outstanding performance in the field of education on Teacher’s Day. The function was held at Guru Nanak Dev Auditorium in the Governor House/Raj Bhawan. Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria gave away awards to teachers. Manju Kalia, PGT (Maths) of the school, was honoured with State Award for her excellent services in the field of education and for creating innovative ideas in the field of maths for students. According to the Principal, she has developed new joyful learning techniques to make maths interesting for the students and delivering excellent results since last many years. In addition to academics, she is the in-charge of the NSS unit of the school and shaping the future of students. Principal Rajinder Kumar congratulated Manju Kalia for bringing laurels to the school.
