The 51st annual function of the school, Alankar 2024, was a grand celebration of cultural heritage and holistic growth. The event commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony symbolising wisdom, followed by a welcome address from the principal, introducing esteemed dignitaries. The programme began with a disciplined NCC parade, showcasing patriotism. This was followed by synchronised fitness routines in mass PT, featuring yoga, dumbbells, traditional lezim, and a precision stoop display. Principal Narayan Singh then presented the annual report, highlighting the school’s achievements in academics, sports, and community service. ‘Ganesh Vandana’ was performed to invoke blessings, followed by an inspiring address from the chief guest, school alumnus Captain Abhimanyu, (Retd Director of Corporate Affairs). This was followed by a thrilling gatka martial arts performance. The programme continued with dynamic aerobics and a hula-hoops routine, alongside the powerful group song, ‘Aarambh Hai Prachand’, emphasising strength and courage. Vijay Nadda, Organisation Minister of Vidya Bharati North Region, then delivered an encouraging address. The cultural segment showcased Haryana’s heritage with a vibrant Haryanvi dance, followed by a speech from the president Dr Ghanshyam Sharma, and a Sanskrit skit that imparted moral values. A choreographed piece, ‘Dharti Kare Pukar’, raised awareness on environmental issues. This was succeeded by an English skit focusing on fundamental duties. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the principal, an energetic bhangra performance, and a collective singing of ‘Vande Mataram’, invoking patriotic pride.
