The school celebrated its annual function, “Alankar 2024”. The event showcased a variety of performances that celebrated the rich cultural heritage of India. Students dazzled the audience with dance choreographies, including ‘Parv Sangam’, ‘Ganesh Vandana’, and bhangra, reflecting the theme of “Unity in Diversity”. The performance “Panch Tatv” elegantly illustrated the five elements of nature — earth, water, fire, air, and ether. Chief guest Yogender Rana, Member of Legislative Assembly for the Assandh constituency and an alumnus of GNAV, emphasised the importance of education in shaping future leaders. Yoga asanas and Mallakhamba demonstrated the students’ fitness levels, leaving the audience in awe. Group songs exuding the spirit of patriotism and nationalism further enriched the event. A Sanskrit play highlighted the vital need for afforestation and environmental conservation, while an English play tackled the pressing issue of social media misuse and addiction. Sportsmanship was also a focal point, with students showcasing their skills in karate, shooting, and archery during the “Tri-Shakti Parakram”, affirming the school’s dedication to fostering athletic excellence. Principal Narayan Singh delivered the vote of thanks.
