The school organised its second annual function, titled ‘Haqiqat’. The chief guest was Sarvjot Singh (Paris Olympic silver medallist). School president Narendra Bindra, Meena Bindra, Rajni Bharti (Principal, Ganpati Convent School, Bilaspur) and parents were present in the attractively decorated school. The function was inaugurated by lighting a lamp at the feet of Maa Saraswati. Principal Pooja Trikha gave information about the achievements made by the school in sports, karate competition, other organised programmes and films. The students who secured first, second and third positions in sports and last year’s academic exams were honoured with prizes. The cultural programme started with Ganesh Vandana. Children dressed in colourful costumes mesmerized people with their charming performance. When the children presented on the stage the ill-effects of mobile phones, importance of self-defence education for girls, victory of truth, old music, culture of different states through dance, everyone watched in amazement. Through glimpses based on the title ‘Reality’, children gave the message to everyone that any goal can be achieved with truth and hard work. Yoga art was demonstrated in the colourful programme. In the end, the students presented bhangra. The annual function concluded with the singing of the national anthem.
