Food festival organised at Delhi Public School, Mohali
To commemorate the World Food Day, a food festival was organised by the students of Class I and Prep II. It was a fantastic way to showcase the diverse foods of various parts of India as nothing brings people together like good food. It was a true reflection of our rich cultural heritage and tradition with the ambience full of decor depicting the northern, southern, eastern and western part of India. Food displayed from the south of India was a perfect treat to the eyes which satiated our taste buds. Food items like idli, dosa, sambar, vada, etc, was in perfect sync with the props from south of India. Northern India with its rich culinary delight came alive with the sumptuous dishes like chola bhatura, rajma rice, sarso ka saag, missi roti, lassi, etc, and the rustic Punjabi decor added to the festivities. Diverse culinary delight was showcased with the food from the eastern part of India. It was a perfect platform for the food items like momos, noodles, rasgulla, litti choka, etc. West Indian cuisines like dhokla, pav bhaji, dal bhatti churma were tempting to the core. The food festival highlighted the universal language of food and rich cultural heritage of the diverse India.
