Emm Aar International School, Adampur
The Punjab State-Level Junior Kho-Kho Championship concluded at the school. The championship, held for the first time in Adampur, was organised with the support of the District Kho-Kho Association, Jalandhar, and the SK Sharma Memorial Society, under the guidance of the Punjab Kho-Kho Association. The inauguration ceremony was graced by several distinguished guests, including Abdul Bari Salmani (Chairman, Punjab State Minority Commission), Jeet Lal Bhatti (constituency in-charge, Adampur, Director PUNBUS, Punjab), Gurdev Singh Kamboj (president, Punjab Kho-Kho Association), Randhir Singh (Chief Agriculture Officer), Kulwinder Singh Tihra (retired DIG), Professor Sukhdev Singh Randhawa, Gaurav Puri (district treasurer, Aam Aadmi Party, Jalandhar and Director, Punjab Dental Council), Dinesh Dhall (constituency in-charge, Jalandhar North, Aam Aadmi Party), Yogesh Dheer (secretary, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Punjab), Dr Sarav Mohan Tandon (Chairman, Emm Aar International School), and Dr Ashish Tandon (president, Emm Aar International School). The event began with an impressive parade by the NCC Air Wing cadets of the school, followed by a vibrant bhangra performance and a group song to welcome the chief guests. A special rally was organised to inspire students to embrace sports and abstain from substance abuse. The two-day championship witnessed exceptional performances by young kho-kho players from across Punjab. In the boys’ and girls’ competitions, the Patiala teams secured the first place.
