As part of the ongoing week-long NSS camp, NSS volunteers from the school visited the Fire Station in Sector 5, Panchkula. The visit was aimed to enhance students’ understanding of emergency services and inculcate a sense of responsibility and preparedness in handling crisis. The fire station team warmly welcomed the students and provided an insightful tour of their facilities. Volunteers were introduced to the various tools and equipment used during firefighting operations, including fire hoses, extinguishers, and rescue gear. A live demonstration of fire drills and emergency protocols highlighted the importance of prompt response during fire-related emergencies. The visit was an enriching experience, aligning with the NSS objective of promoting community engagement and social responsibility. Principal Gulshan Kaur expressed gratitude to the fire station personnel for their support and for educating the volunteers.
