The students of the school celebrated Diwali. The school had week-long celebrations of Diwali thus engaging the children in creative and interesting activities. The students proved that creativity and talent do not have boundaries. To mark the occasion, a special assembly was organised, whereby the students and staff started the celebrations with a solemn prayer to the Almighty and a beautiful thought that filled hearts and minds with love and harmony. The students talked about the significance of the festival — how good always conquers the evil and how Diwali is celebrated across India. Besides sensitising students about the ill-effects of crackers, students were also motivated to celebrate environment-friendly Diwali. Thereafter, special ‘aarti’ was performed thus seeking blessings of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Laxmi. An array of interesting and creative activities was also conducted by the school for the students of various classes. The students were seen enthusiastically participating in anti-cracker rally, lantern making, poster-making activity, inter-house banner-making activity, best-out-of-waste activity, motif designing activity, etc. Students participated with great zeal in Inter-House ‘Essence of Diwali’ Competition, whereby the students used their creative skills to display how Diwali is celebrated in different parts of India. School Director Lalita Prakash and Principal Monika Sharma wished students a very happy and prosperous Diwali and motivated them to celebrate a clean and green Diwali.
