Sub-divisional Magistrate Kalka Lakshit Sareen said the program has managed to equip the youngsters with the knowledge of functioning of administrative departments and will help them in deciding their future job and business prospects as well.
The office started the program from July 12. The students are invited for the two-day program on four days every week. They participate in the two-hour Samadhan Shivir, then they are introduced to the functioning of preparation of driving licenses, works of the registration of land, police functioning and law and order in the state along with railways and others.
Lakshit Sareen said, “We are inviting five students each, both boys and girls of Class X, XI and XII from each school in Kalka to partake in the program. As part of the program, the students will know about officials and offices to be contacted in case of various problems being faced by residents. Many people do not know the functioning of SDM office. These students will be able to guide others regarding the same. This knowledge will also help them stay abreast of cheats in future”, he said.
