School notes: The Tribune School, Chandigarh

A special assembly was organised at the school to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries on Tuesday. The core life’s values of Gandhi and Shastri were explained by the students. The students also participated in various activities including, role-play and paragraph writing. A cleanliness drive was organised to help children imbibe the ideologies of Gandhi and Shastri. Principal Rani Poddar encouraged the students to inculcate these values into their lives by narrating a number of stories to them.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh

The primary wing of the school organised a celebration to honour the role of grandparents in the lives of their grandchildren. The celebrations commenced with a welcome speech by Kunika Sharma, Principal, Junior Wing. She highlighted the importance of spending quality time with grandparents, learning from their experiences and garnering a deeper understanding of family culture and values. The event's highlight was a dance performance by the students.

As part of the school's commitment to holistic education, the Art Department of the school organised ‘BVNC Art Workshop 2.0’ for the students of classes V to IX. The workshop themed ‘Painting a Better World – Exploring Social Issues Through Creative Expression’ aimed to provide students a platform for self-expression and enable them to become catalysts of social change.
