School notes: The Tribune School
A Sukhmani Sahib Path was organised at The Tribune School to commemorate the 555th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism. The celebrations commenced with path followed by recitation of shabad kirtan. The celebration concluded with a langar embodying Guru Nanak’s vision of equality and selflessness, emphasising the spirit of service and sharing.
Delhi Public School
Delhi Public School, Sector 40, organised the sixth edition of the annual event the Legal Conclave ‘Samvidhi’. The two-day event witnessed participation of 87 teams from the tricity schools and region. The event with the aim to bring together students, legal experts and practitioners explored the rapidly evolving landscape of law and justice. The conclave featured a series of engaging sessions, panel discussions and keynote addresses from distinguished legal professionals and renowned academicians.
Ankur School
The Peace Club of Ankur School, Sector 14, organised a Nukkad Natak (street play) on the theme Beti Bachao Beti Padhao at Panjab University Student Centre. The performance highlighted the importance of gender equality and the need to protect and empower the girl child. The Peace Club aimed to promote gender sensitivity and raise awareness about the importance of saving the girl child and encourage students to become agents of social change.
Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh
Shams Tabrej and Aarzoo Chahal of Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh, advanced to the CBSE National Level Science Exhibition after showcasing their exceptional scientific talent at the CBSE Science Regional Level Exhibition. The duo’s project titled ‘Smart-Food Expiry Labels’ stood out for its creative approach to modern food safety. The project uses sensors to monitor environmental conditions and digitally display real-time data about food freshness on an LCD screen.
Gillco School
Aameen, a student of Gillco International School, brought laurels to school at the quiz competition ‘Beyond Perceptions’. The quiz witnessed participation of over 137 students from across the country. Aameen scored 100 per cent marks securing the top honour in the quiz. The quiz was based on the visionary series of Eduventiva, which explores unexplored realms of human understanding, challenges conventional norms and encourages innovative thinking.
Shishu Niketan-22
A group of 30 students from Shishu Niketan Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 22, visited Chandimandir for the Abhivyakti AWWA Literary Fest. The event featured an impressive weapon display and engaging panel discussions, including an inspiring session with Bollywood actor Boman Irani.
