School notes: Shemrock Sr Sec School, Mohali
The school organised a visit to the Baba Banda Singh Bahadur War Memorial for students of the junior wing. The students were acquainted with the history of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, who fought against the Mughals. The students also visited the Japanese Garden and the office of The Tribune.
Brookfield International, New Chandigarh
A cancer awareness workshop was organised on the school campus. The aim of the workshop was to equip students with knowledge about cancer prevention, treatment and the importance of early detection. Dr Meenakshi Sharma from IVY Hospital, Mohali, shared important information about cancer with students and the staff of the school.
Satluj Public School, Panchkula
The school won the first prize at the Spring Fest organised by HSVP in the garden category. The garden was nurtured by the chairman of the school, Sardar Pritam Singh Serai. Lush green lawns with numerous species of climbers, creepers, foliage and a variety of ornamental plants from around the world are present at the school garden.
Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh
The school won 11 prizes at the Rose Festival at the Zakir Hussain Rose Garden. Neena Setya, the school president congratulated the institution’s team of gardeners for the accomplishment.
Mind Tree School, Mohali
The 14th National Stone Sculpting Symposium was organised at the school. In the 20-day workshop, sculptors from across the country came together for an exploration of the art of sculpting. The workshop included a variety of activities, including practical sculpture sessions, interactive demonstrations, and insightful discussions on principles and practices of sculpting.
