A plantation drive under ‘Plant for mother’ initiative was organised in Government Model High School, Sector 29 B, Chandigarh. As per instructions, students prepared the charts and posters titled #Plant4Mother. As many as 225 students, 30 mothers and SMC members participated in the drive with great enthusiasm.

AKSIPS-65 Smart School, Mohali

Ajit Karam Singh International Public School, 65 Smart School, organised a thought-provoking traffic awareness workshop for students of Classes VII to XII, conducted by the SP Traffic Police, Mohali, Jagjit Singh, and Traffic Marshall Janak Raj. The workshop highlighted the importance of adhering to basic traffic rules to ensure a safer society.

PM SHRI KV, AFS high grounds, CHD

A tree plantation drive was organised under ‘Education Week’ at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya AFS High Grounds, Chandigarh. Group Captain Tanveer Singh, chairman, VMC, was the chief guest on the occasion. Gurpreet Singh, principal, Raghuveer Singh, vice principal, school teachers and members of ‘Sevak Sabha Samiti, Zirakpur’ also participated in the tree plantation programme.

AKSIPS-41 Smart School, Chandigarh

With a vision to promote environment conservation, Eco and Swachh Bharat Club of AKSIPS 41, Chandigarh, organised a tree plantation drive in the park opposite the school. The event witnessed an active participation of the members of local RWA with former mayor Hardeep Singh, Jasdeep Kalra executive director, AKSIPS Group of Smart Schools, Ritu Bali, principal, teachers and students of the school. A wide range of saplings were planted by the students and dignitaries to emphasise the significance of green cover and to foster a sense of responsibility towards nature. Jasdeep Kalra, appreciated the club member’s efforts in generating awareness among the young students. The ex-mayor lauded the school for taking proactive steps in contributing to the city’s green cover.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula

Bhavan Vidyalaya, in collaboration with Salwan Education Trust and National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT), organised an Income Tax Awareness Programme to educate students, parents, and teachers about India’s taxation system and new tax reforms. Seema Dhankar, an IRS Officer currently posted as Additional Assistant Director of Income Tax, was present along with her colleague Kalicharan Prasad (AAIDT) and other officers.

DAV Police Public School, Panchkula

DAV Police Public School, Panchkula, conferred the badges to White Council, houses and clubs. Paras Kashyap was made the Head Boy of the school and Radhika was given the responsibility of Head Girl. The principal, Upasana Sharma, inspired the students by giving a valuable speech and an oath was administered to students present.
