Shishu Niketan, Chandigarh
A seven-day NSS camp was organised at Shishu Niketan Model School with a motto of ‘Swachhta and Fit India’. Principal Amita Khorana thanked the chief guest and apprised him of the schedule of the camp, which includes volunteers visit Bhaskar Colony (the adopted village) and Sai Temple. A guest lecture by Rohit Kumar (National Awardee, NSS) was also arranged.
GMSSS-20D, Chandigarh
The NSS Unit of GMSSS, Sector 20D, organised a seven-day NSS camp. The camp was inaugurated by Bikram Rana, SLO, Chandigarh. As many as 150 NSS volunteers attended the camp.
Dikshant International, Zirakpur
Dikshant International School welcomed ISRO space bus ‘Space on Wheels’ on the campus. The collaboration with ISRO was part of an ongoing space programme at school.
Gian Jyoti, Mohali
Gian Jyoti Global School organised a fun-filled day for kindergarten parents. Various competitions were organised. KG Rose organised a dance competition for parent and kids.
The British School, Panchkula
The British School, Panchkula, celebrated its sports day at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector 3, Panchkula. Chief Guest Jai Prakash Chaturvedi, Secretary-Admin and Legal, CBSE, New Delhi, lit the ceremonial torch and declared the sports meet open. This was followed by a spectacular, impressive and well-synchronised march past by all four Houses. The audience was mesmerised with TBS Colour Parade by students of Class VII to XII.
St Xavier’s, Zirakpur
St Xavier’s International, Zirakpur, celebrated Christmas at the school premises. Students sang Christmas carols. Teachers dressed up as Santa Claus and gave a dance performance on the stage. An entertaining magic show was also held for the students. The occasion was graced by principal Mervin West, his wife Vibha West and school director Susan Nath.
PML SD Public, Chandigarh
Seven-day NSS camp was organised by PML SD Public School, Sector 32-C, Chandigarh. It was inaugurated by Bikram Rana, State Liasion Officer, NSS, Sector-9, Chandigarh. Around 100 students participated in this programme. KK Sandhu, Fire Officer, delivered a lecture on causes of fire, types of fire and measures to control fire. Students also visited ‘Gaushala’ in Sector 45.
