Sanskar Saraswat, Tanvi Sharma bag badminton titles
Rajasthan’s Sanskar Saraswat and PNB’s Tanvi Sharma bagged the boys’ and girls’ U-19 title, respectively, on the concluding day of Smt Krishna Khaitan Memorial All India Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Sector 3 here.
In the boys’ final, Saraswat toppled Delhi’s Ginpaul S in straight games 21-11 21-12, while Tanvi recorded a 21-19 21-13 win over Haryana’s Medhavi Nagar to clinch the title.
The pair of Lalramsanga C and Vishakha Toopo claimed the mixed doubles final by defeating Mithileish P Krishnan and Manya Ralhan 21-18 21-14, while the team of Diya Beemaiah B and Baruni Parshwal won the girls’ doubles title as they recorded a 21-14 21-13 win over Pragati Parida and Vishaka Toppo.
Vinayakram GP and Swastik Matharasan recorded a comeback 18-21 21-19 21-16 win over Sanskar and Arsh Mohammad to bag the boys’ U-19 doubles final.
