Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) carried out a procession here today in protest against the recent incident regarding the CID probe to find out how refreshments brought for CM went missing and were served to his staff during his visit to the CID office on October 21.

Hundreds of BJYM activists were present at the protest where they symbolically distributed samosas and raised slogans against the state government.

During the protest, BJYM state president Tilak Raj said, “While the people of the state are facing various problems, unemployment is on the rise, children are getting into drugs, the present Congress-led state government is worried about the disappearance of the Chief Minister’s samosas’. He questioned, “What made the government order a CID investigation into the disappearance of CM Sukhu’s samosas? Has any valuable thing of the government disappeared along with the samosas?” He said that Himachal Pradesh had become a joke in the whole country and it was happening only because of the Congress’s ‘Sukh Ki Sarkar’.

“The law and order situation in the state has deteriorated but the government is worried about the CM’s samosas,” he added. He further said drugs that are being smuggled from the neighbouring states are ruining the new generation of Himachal.

“Many schoolchildren are consuming drugs. In a survey conducted on 7500 students in 204 schools across the state, it has been found around 9 per cent of the teenagers are consuming drugs through injections. Out of 1,170 youths aged between 15 and 30 years who have been admitted in de-addiction centres, about 35 pc of them are chitta (heroin) addicts, but the state government is not concerned about this issue,” he concluded. The BJP has hit out at the Congress-led government for “ordering an inquiry into missing ‘samosas”.
