Salute to reservoir of military might
The Tribune (estd 1881) has been reporting on military matters for over 130 years, ever since the Second Boer War began in 1899. After Independence, The Tribune has continued to be the largest read newspaper in the northern region, the reservoir of India’s military, which has produced generation after generation of heroes and the most distinguished and decorated officers and men in the country’s armed forces.

I compliment Capt. Amarinder Singh, Chief Minister of Punjab, for taking the initiative of establishing the Military Literature Festival (MLF), which The Tribune has been supporting since its inception in December 2017.
Today, in its fourth edition, the MLF has emerged as a celebrated platform, which attracts large numbers of serving and retired soldier-scholars, besides distinguished security analysts, historians, authors, writers and the media.
The Tribune takes pride in disseminating the valuable reflections of the experienced participants.
I wish the MLF continuing high successes.
