A workshop on Sexual Abuse and Cyber Crime against children was conducted at the school. The aim was to sensitise the non-teaching staff, including school bus drivers, female attendants, maids and gardeners against such crimes. Shipra Bansal, the Chairperson of Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR), UT, was the resource person. She was welcomed by Principal Anisha Ghuman and the staff. She emphasized on the importance of child safety and awareness about such abuse against children with the help of numerous examples. Shipra also threw light on Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, 2012, as a law in India that protects children from sexual abuse and offenses. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by faculty member Ritu Verma.
