In a significant move to deepen bilateral cooperation, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini hosted a high-level German delegation at his residence today. The discussions centered on strengthening ties in key sectors, including automotive, pharmaceuticals, education, skill development, research and development (R&D), and climate change.

The German delegation, led by Manfred Ockel, Chairman for Investment and Mayor of Kelsterbach, included prominent officials such as Patrick Burghardt, Lord Mayor of Rüsselsheim, David Rendel, Mayor of Raunheim, and Rahul Kumar, Parliament Member of Frankfurt and spokesperson for digitalisation.

CM Saini emphasised Haryana’s “Go Global Approach,” aimed at fostering international partnerships and boosting global competitiveness. He highlighted the state's strong industrial base, leadership in the automobile, pharmaceutical, and electronics sectors, and its vision to attract foreign direct investment (FDI). Saini pointed to key initiatives like the KMP Global Corridor, the Integrated Aviation Hub at Hisar, and Mega Food Parks as examples of Haryana’s ambitious industrial and logistics plans.

Both parties reiterated their commitment to eco-friendly industrial policies and discussed potential collaborations on sustainability projects. The German delegation expressed interest in working on green technology initiatives, leveraging their expertise in energy efficiency and climate resilience. They also acknowledged parallels between Haryana’s rapid economic growth and the RheinMain region’s leadership in innovation and technological advancement, signaling potential for long-term partnerships.

The Foreign Cooperation Department (FCD) presented Haryana’s goals to attract FDI, boost international trade, and position the state as a prime destination for global businesses. The German delegation highlighted Germany’s strengths in high-tech manufacturing, digitalisation, and sustainable development, offering valuable opportunities for collaboration with Haryana.
