Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today participated in Dasehra celebrations at Sector 5 here. Addressing a gathering, he said the festival denoted eternal victory of religion, justice, truth and morality over injustice, falsehood and oppression.

Thousands gathered to witness the burning of a 155-foot effigy of Ravana. Traffic snarl-ups were seen at several places in the city, including the road between Geeta Chowk and Command Hospital lights.

The CM completed the Ravana Dahan process by pressing the remote button. He also announced Rs 5 lakh for the Mata Mansa Devi Charitable Trust, the organiser of Ramlila.
