RSS leader asks Sikhs to support CAA
Chandigarh, February 15
Urging Sikhs to extend their support to the Citizen Amendment Act (CAA), RSS national executive member Indresh Kumar said, “The government has always stood for the betterment of Sikhs and it has immensely contributed to the promotion of the country.”
“Sikhs should come forward to support the CAA instead of supporting the Khalistani ideology. Sikhs in Pakistan have faced atrocities. Indian Sikhs should come forward to save their brothers living in Pakistan, Afghanistan and other countries instead of supporting nefarious political agenda of anti-CAA groups,” Indresh said while addressing a gathering during a talk on the impact of the CAA here today. It was organised by the Joshi Foundation in association with FANS and Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch.
The RSS leader said, “We all are living a lie that we got freedom in 1947 instead we were divided by the Congress. Because both Jawaharlal Nehru and Muhammad Ali Jinnah wanted to become prime ministers, so they divided a brotherhood society into India and Pakistan. Those who laid their lives for this freedom were never even given a respectable honour.”
He also questioned the validity of protests in different regions despite that the fact that the minorities were already covered. — TNS
