The state government had sanctioned Rs 5.5 crore for improving road connectivity to rural areas, including Dabla, Gatol and Talai villages of the Ghumarwin subdivision of Bilaspur district. This was stated by Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani while addressing a public meeting at Dari village near Ghumarwin today.

He said the government would connect every village of the area with road as per the availability of land. He said Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had issued strict actions on improving the economy of the state and make it self-reliant.

Earlier, Dharmani inaugurated a newly constructed Anganwari Kendra at Bari village and said the Child Development Department had started various programmes for the upkeep of health of infants and children in the state.

He said Anganwadi Kendras were playing pivotal role in overall development of children. He added that all the welfare schemes started by the government must benefit people.

He said that CM had proposed to open one model health centre in every constituency of the state that would provide best health services to people.

Dharmani said to improve the quality of education in the state 68 Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding Schools would be opened. He said these schools would be equipped with best teachers and equipment for academics as well as sports.

The minister also listen to public grievances and disposed some of the issues on the spot.
