Ritesh tops Panchkula district in Class X Haryana board exams

Ritesh Kumar Chaube, a student of Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School, Sector 20, has topped Panchkula district in the Class X exams the results of which were declared today by the Board of School Education, Haryana.

Ritesh had secured 487 marks out of 500 to bag the top position in the district. Second position was secured by Anuradha of Noble High School, Pinjore, by scoring 484 marks, while Nidhi, a student of Saarthak Government Model Integrated Senior Secondary School, Sector 12-A, bagged third position with 483 marks.

District Education Officer Urmil Devi said a total of 6,469 students of Panchkula district took the examination, of whom 3,589 students passed and 417 students got compartment. A total of 62.35 per cent girls and 48.74 per cent boys cleared the exam.

Ritesh’s father works at a private firm in Dera Bassi and his mother is a housemaker. He wants to become an engineer. Ritesh has a brother and two sisters.

Meanwhile, Ritesh’s father Aditya Choube said his son was fond of studies and hardly moved out of the house. Principal of his school Renu Gupta said she was very happy with Ritesh’s result. Many students of the school have secured more than 90 per cent marks, she added.

Anuradha Singh, second position holder, said she aspired to become a fashion designer as she loved sketching. She attributed her success to the inspiration she got from her parents, principal Sunil Kaushal and teachers. She said she kept a balance between phone and studies. Anuradha’s father is an assistant manager at a pharma industry and the mother is a housemaker.

Nidhi of Saarthak Government Model Integrated Senior Secondary School, Sector 12-A, said she wanted to become an engineer. She gave credit to her parents, Principal Pawan Kumar Gupta and teachers for getting good marks. She gave special thanks to the class in-charge and mathematics teacher Laxmi and tutor Tarun. Her father is a priest.
