Residents told to exercise caution amid cold
With the cold, fog and chilly winds expected to increase in the coming days, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal has urged residents to take necessary precautions to avoid any discomfort or health risks.
The DC emphasised the importance of preparing for the cold weather, especially for the elderly and children. She advised people to make arrangements to protect themselves, their families and animals from the harsh conditions. Special attention should also be given to safeguarding crops and other valuables.
DC Mittal stressed the need for vigilance during this season, urging residents not to be careless. If anyone experiences health issues due to the cold, she recommended consulting a doctor as soon as possible. She also appealed to motorists to drive cautiously in foggy conditions, maintaining slow speeds and ensuring vehicle lights and signals are fully operational to avoid accidents.
