Residents of Bahadurpur, under the banner of Naujvan Sabha, planted saplings in common places of the village on Sunday to take advantage of the holiday. Sukhpreet Singh Pannu, a local resident and a state leader of employees, said that 250 saplings were planted by the activists of Naujvan Sabha. He said on the advice of international environmentalist Baba Sewa Singh of Kar Sewa sect, Khadoor Sahib, the residents have been planting saplings for years.

After planting, the residents also take care of saplings on their own. The saplings have been planted in school complexes, in cremation ground and at other common places in the village. The effort of the residents has earned the appreciation of the local administration.
