A one-day seminar on “Plagiarism and Remote Access Service” was recently organised at Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University, Palampur.

Inaugurating the seminar, Vice-Chancellor Naveen Kumar asked the students to strictly follow academic ethics in research work.

Youngsters should avoid any kind of “copy-paste” and write research papers in their own style, adopting originality, he added.

Dr Kumar told youngsters to take the help of the library and do their research work well so that its credibility is maintained at the national and international levels.

Prabodh Kalsotra, an expert from Content and Technology Service (CTS), Mumbai, shared information related to plagiarism with the participants, and spoke about detection software Copyleaks.
