The Rashtrapati Niwas here will host a Winter Fest to celebrate the cultural heritage of Himachal on December 7. A spokesperson for the Rashtrapati Niwas said here today that ‘Retreat’ (Rashtrapati Niwas, Mashobra) of the President would host an exclusive edition of the Winter Fest on December 7. “This one-day event will be dedicated to celebrating the vibrant cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh in line with the President’s vision of transforming the President’s Estates into cultural hubs,” he added.

He said that the festival would feature a mesmerising performance by the Himachal Pradesh Orchestra Band, “Harmony of Pines” along with traditional group dances by local artistes and a special singing performance by an Indian Idol participant.

The spokesperson said that the visitors could witness authentic local crafts and visit food stalls showcasing the essence of Himachali traditions and cuisine. He added that since it was opened for the public in April 2023, the niwas had welcomed over 1.1 lakh visitors, offering them an impressive cultural experience.

He said that visitors could make a hassle-free booking through the official website https://visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in or at the reception desk upon arrival.
