Ranvir Shorey claims police detained him and impounded his car for taking his house help to hospital for his child’s birth

On Wednesday, Ranvir Shorey went through an ordeal when a cop tried impounding his car and detained him, along with his house help and driver, for more than eight hours. Reportedly, the wife of Ranvir’s house help was about to deliver a baby and the hospital refused to file paperwork without the father being present.

Thus, Ranvir decided to take the house help to his wife, but a cop from Mumbai police stopped them on the way stating that delivery of a child isn’t an emergency and threatened to lodge an FIR against the driver.

Ranvir took to Twitter and wrote, “Saddened and disappointed that the transgression and highhandedness of one policeman is going to cost me my car, and an FIR against my innocent driver.”
