Rajinder Rana unable to digest defeat: Cong
Former MLA Rajinder Rana was unable to digest his defeat in the recent byelection and was making misleading statements out of frustration, said Suman Bharti, president, district Congress committee here today. He said that Rana joined BJP with much glory but BJP had placed him on the backstage. He said Rana's condition is like ‘out of frying pan and straight into the fire’. He said that the rift between new and old BJP workers had increased and both groups were at loggerhead to secure their positions in the executive bodies of the organisation at the block, district and state level.
Bharti said that Rana should refrain from meaningless statements. He said that if Rana had really good relations with BJP high command then he should use his relations for the betterment of the state instead of creating hurdles in development. He said instead of questioning Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Rana should ask the Centre why Himachal Pradesh was deprived of the ‘special assistance to states for capital investment scheme’. He said that the Centre released 3,296 crore to 23 states in the country but Himachal Pradesh was not given this assistance. He said Rana must ask BJP leaders that why Rs 9000 crore for disaster management was not given to the state.
