Rajasthan woman among 3 more of Lawrence Bishnoi gang arrested by Chandigarh Police

The Crime Branch of the UT police arrested three more persons, including a 28-year-old woman, who were part of the Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldy Brar module that was given the task to eliminate gangster Bhupinder Singh Rana, alias Bhupi Rana.
Bhupi Rana, who has several cases against him, is presently lodged in jail.
The police had earlier arrested three shooters from near the District Courts in Sector 43 here and had recovered two weapons from their possession.
The police said now, two persons, identified as Amanpreet Singh (20) of Muktsar and Parwinder Singh (27) of Fazilka, were arrested for providing shelter, money and transportation to the shooters on the directions of Goldy Brar. In addition, a woman, identified as Maya of Rajasthan, alias Kashish, alias Pooja Sharma, was also arrested.
The police said the woman, who was part of the entire plot, revealed that she came in contact with a history-sheeter, Rakesh, alias Honey, presently lodged in jail at Sikar, Rajasthan. The woman, who wanted to become a gangster, joined Rohit Godara, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The police said Godara, through his gang, had provided the woman with a phone and Rs 25,000 and directed her to reach Chandigarh where she met three shooters and conducted a recce of the court complex. “After the shooters were arrested, Maya also tried to escape the city, but was nabbed,” said a police official.
