Raja Iqbal Singh, Leader of the Opposition in the MCD and former Mayor, has criticised the Mayor and the AAP government for interfering in the teacher transfer process, calling it a betrayal to teachers who have been waiting for years for transfers. Singh’s remarks come amid growing discontent among teachers over delays and a perceived lack of transparency in the system.
“This is a betrayal of teachers who have been working far from their homes, waiting for transfers due to personal and family reasons,” Singh said. He accused the AAP government of allowing its close associates to undermine the transfer process, which was meant to be transparent, while enabling corruption within the system.
