Former MP Raj Babbar and Rajasthan’s Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully reached Rewari yesterday and appealed to the people to help Congress candidate Chiranjeev Rao win the Assembly elections.

“Chiranjeev romped home victorious in previous Assembly polls in 2019, when the condition was not favourable for the Congress. But this time, people want change in the state and are favouring the Congress party. Hence, ensure the victory of Chiranjeev in the election with a huge margin to pave the way for his elevation to any big post like Cabinet Minister or Deputy Chief Minister,” said Babbar.

He said the BJP government failed to maintain law and order, provide employment and work for the welfare of farmers and other sections of society in the last decade, hence people are fed up with it and want to bring the Congress back to power, he added.

Jully said the BJP had changed the CM and Cabinet Ministers in the state but this would not work as people had made up their mind to oust the BJP from power.

“Young voters will give a befitting reply to the BJP government in the elections as it has made the state number one in unemployment and crime. The government has even snatched their permanent employment by rolling out the Agniveer scheme. The BJP also committed atrocities against farmers during their movement. They will take revenge through their right to vote,” he said.

Jully accused the BJP of misleading people by creating a false narrative. He said bringing the Congress into power was the need of the hour for the protection of the Constitution.
