The CBSE National Table Tennis Championship 2024 officially commenced at Khelo India Residential Academy in the school. Dr JR Kashyap, Director of Rainbow Group of Schools in Delhi and Himachal, was the chief guest. The opening ceremony, held at the Sports Complex, featured a vibrant blend of local culture and sportsmanship. The chief guest performed the symbolic inaugural knock, signalling the official start of the tournament. Approximately 600 participants are competing, representing a diverse array of states, including Delhi, Punjab, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal, and Rajasthan. The competition spans categories of U-14, U-17, and U-19 boys and girls. Players from Kuwait, Yemen, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Dubai, and Muscat are also participating in individual matches for both men and women, highlighting the event’s prestigious nature and global appeal.
