Though voting for the second phase is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, political parties and their senior leaders have started preparations for the third phase of the polls which will be held on October 1.

For the third phase of polls, Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi will be visiting Jammu on Wednesday where he will hold multiple events to interact with the locals. On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jammu on September 28 to hold a public meeting.

Rahul will reach Jammu at 11 am after which he will hold an interaction with professionals. He will later hold a public meeting and then leave for Srinagar by a special flight. In Srinagar, he will hold a public meeting after which Gandhi will return to New Delhi.

Meanwhile, PM Modi will hold a rally on September 28 in which candidates for the third phase from Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts will be present. This will be the fourth election rally by Modi for the Assembly polls.

Security arrangements in Jammu city have been strengthened as the focus will shift to the area after the second phase.
