Rahul Gandhi slams BJP over UP encounter

Arun Goel is India’s envoy to Croatia

New Delhi: Former Punjab Cadre IAS officer Arun Goel has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Croatia. The Ministry of External Affairs made the announcement on Saturday. It said Goel was expected to take up the assignment shortly. Goel took voluntary retirement after serving as a 1985-batch IAS officer to join as the Election Commissioner in 2022. In 2024, Goel resigned from the post of the Election Commissioner.
