Youth booked for poisoning woman to death
Fazilka, August 30
A married woman was poisoned to death by her alleged paramour in Dhani Khurd village of Jalalabad subdivision of the district.
Jaswant Singh stated his daughter Amanjot Kaur and son-in-law Balwinder Singh had come to meet them in the village on August 20. He said Balwinder Singh had returned home after leaving his wife Amanjot Kaur in the village. He said his daughter, Amanjot Kaur, disappeared without telling anyone at 8 pm on the same day.
Jaswant Singh said his son-in-law Balwinder Singh informed him village boy Sukhmander Singh, alias Ajay, took her somewhere.
Jaswant Singh alleged Sukhmander Singh had poisoned his daughter to death.
Sadar police station SHO Paramjit Singh said the police were investigating the allegations. He said both Sukhmander Singh and Amanjot Kaur were admitted to a hospital in Bathinda for the reason that has not been ascertained yet. He said Amanjot Kaur passed away and the Sukhmander was under treatment in
the hospital.
According to official sources, both had extramarital relations.
However, the suspect, Sukhmander Singh, and his alleged accomplices — Soma Rani, Laxmi, Avtar Singh, and five unidentified persons—have been booked under Section 103(1) (murder) of BNS. None has been arrested so far.
