Station House Officer (SHO) of Sangrur city police station-1 Gurmail Singh said that the statement of Goyal could not be recorded as according to the doctor, he was unfit to give his statement. The statement of his parents could also not be recorded as they wanted to take care of their son, he said. He added after recording a statement in this case, further proceedings would be initiated.

In his social media post, Ramandeep had claimed that some persons were harassing him for past some time due to which he was going to end his life. He alleged that a man who lived near his house had thrown debris in the street due to which they had been facing problems daily.
