Vernacular editor attacked
The editor of a language newspaper published was attacked by some miscreants who came in three vehicles this evening.
Manu Pratap Yadav, editor of a vernacular, was attacked with sticks by unknown persons who came in three vehicles and stopped Yadav’s car near the Improvement Trust office at about 6.45 pm. Yadav was hit on both his legs several times, causing serious injuries.
An eyewitness said the attackers were travelling in three vehicles, including a black SUV. The police said the miscreants tried to drag Yadav out of the car. However, they were unsuccessful, as the car was centrally locked. They broke the windows with sticks and dragged him out and beat him. Yadav fractured both his legs in the incident. The police said a case would be registered after they receive the medico legal report.
