Unveil martyr’s statue within72 hours: BJP to CM Mann
The state BJP unit today threatened to inaugurate the statue of Shaheed Bhagat Singh if the CM Mann-led government failed to do so in next three days.
Dr Subhash Sharma, vice-president, Punjab BJP, criticised Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for failing to unveil the statue of Shaheed Bhagat Singh at the Chandigarh international airport in Mohali for the past six months.
He said the PM Narendra Modi-led government in the Centre had named the airport after the martyr.
“Despite his professed reverence for Shaheed Bhagat Singh, the CM has failed to unveil his statue,” said Dr Sharma.
He added that if the Aam Aadmi Party government failed to unveil the statue of the martyr in next 72 hours, the youth of Punjab would take the matter into their own hands.
