The Wildlife Protection Department arrested two individuals on Monday in Sajrana village for allegedly killing wild pigs and selling their meat. The suspects, identified as Pala Ram and Mangat, were found selling the pork at the bus stand.

According to official sources, Range Officer Mangat Ram received a tip-off regarding the illegal activity. Acting on this information, a team, including officers Kulwant Singh, Manjeet Singh, Gagandeep, Khushwant Singh, Mahal Singh, Diwan Chand, Chhotu Ram, and Rajinder, was dispatched to the location. The team recovered approximately 43 kg of meat from the suspects’ possession.

The investigation revealed that the suspects had killed two wild pigs the previous night by electrocuting them using a live wire in the Bodiwala Pitha area. They were reportedly involved in hunting wild pigs regularly.
