A directive, prohibiting students from wearing ‘kada’, by a Jalandhar-based private school has caused furore among the residents.

Harpal Singh Chadha and Tajinder Singh Pardesi of the Sikh Talmel Committee visited the school and engaged with the students who revealed that they were penalised for wearing ‘kada’. Later, the school management issued a public apology and dismissed principal for passing such order and a clerk for mistreating the committee members.
