Faridkot Civil Hospital has started special OPD services every Saturday at NCD Clinic to examine patients, especially those diagnosed with high blood pressure and diabetes, said Civil Surgeon Chandra Shekhar Kakkar.

The Civil Surgeon said residents were being examined and free medicines were being provided to the patients at the village level. “These services are being provided by the Community Health Officers in the villages. Patients, who are taking medicine from the village health centre, must visit the Civil Hospital to get themselves examined by a specialist doctor,” he added.

Civil Hospital SMO Dr Paramjit Brar said patients suffering from blood pressure and diabetes should follow the doctor's advice.
