Sikh organisation opens first office in Amritsar

Misl Satluj, a social-political organisation focused on Sikh community issues and concerns related to Punjab, inaugurated its first office in Amritsar today. The office, located at Kabir Park Market, was opened with an ‘ardaas’ ceremony, seeking blessings from the Gurus.

Ajaypal Singh Brar, president of Misl Satluj, announced plans to expand by opening additional offices in Mohali and Bathinda. He stated that the organisation would work on addressing issues pertinent to the Sikh community and Punjab as a whole, with a particular focus on redefining centre-state relations. He emphasised the need to safeguard Punjab’s interests and ensure its resources were utilised effectively.

Brar also called for a Punjab-centric approach to policy formulation, which would better address the state’s unique challenges and aspirations.
