Sidhu Sidhu visits Pakistan gurdwara, bats for trade routes
Gurdaspur, January 24
Former PPCC chief Navjot Sidhu today brushed aside questions relating to the AAP-Congress pre-poll or post-poll alliance. He was here on a tour to Darbar Sahib Gurdwara in Pakistan.
“I went to pay obeisance at the place where Guru Nanak Dev spent the last years of his life. I had no political motive. I urge both governments to open more trade routes so that people can prosper,” he said.
Addressing the media at the ICP, he said the condition to waive $20 fee and the mandatory requirement of passport was an issue “which needed to be sorted out between both countries.”
When the question of the AAP-Congress alliance surfaced, he said this was “not the appropriate time to comment on a political issue when he was on a religious visit”.
