Sidhu Moosewala’s parents also met Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh who exhorted them to offer prayers. The parents of the slain singer chose not to interact with the media but they expressed dissatisfaction over the manner in which Punjab police so far have handled the murder case of Moosewala.

Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh said, “It’s sad that Punjab Police could not take required action in my son’s murder case, but Delhi police has managed to take concrete steps and caught the main shooters involved in the incident. Whatever facts have been brought into light about my son’s death were by Delhi Police while Punjab police have found itself just groping in the dark.”

Balkaur added, “Traps has been laid on number of occasions to kill my son but they couldn’t muster enough courage to do so. He always talked about issues of Punjab and its people but he was silenced just because he spoke his heart out.”

During their conversation with Giani Harpreet Singh, the parents of Moosewala got emotional number of times but the Jathedar consoled them and told them to recite Gurbani.
