Sidhu Moosewala murder: Punjab Police giving 'third-degree torture' to Lawrence Bishnoi, alleges gangster's lawyer
Chandigarh, June 17
The legal counsel of Lawrence Bishnoi on Friday accused the Punjab Police –interrogation the jailed gangsters in singer Sidhu Moosewala’s murder case–of meting out “inhuman treatment” and giving “third-degree torture” to the accused.
In a video message, Lawrence Bishnoi’s lawyer Vishal Chopra has alleged that the Punjab Police were “violating the rules” that were required to be followed while interrogating an accused.
Chopra also alleged that Bishnoi’s “life was in danger”. He alleged that no videography was done while Bishnoi was being interrogated. The lawyer alleged that he was not allowed to meet Lawrence Bishnoi.
Chopra also said that he would file a writ petition before a competent court bringing out these adversaries in the police’s dealing with the accused.
Bishnoi has been named as the accused and main conspirator in the singer’s killing. He was on Wednesday morning brought to Punjab under heavy security from Delhi.
After which, the gangster was produced before a court in Mansa district. Bishnoi is on a seven-day police remand.
