General Gurnam Singh (GGS) Public School, Sangrur, today organised the ‘7th Sardar Harpal Singh Memorial Inter School Debate’ at the school auditorium here. As many as 32 students from eight schools in the state participated.

The participants were given the topic “Use of government agencies by the political parties for their own benefit is not justified.” The participants presented their arguments with passion and eloquence. The team from GGS Public School, Sangrur, emerged as the as the winner, while the team from Golden Earth Global School, Sangrur, clinched the runners-up trophy. They were followed by YPS, Patiala, in the third spot. SV Kumar, Director of GGS Public School, Sangrur, said such competitions were important for students.
