The police have booked a Sangrur resident for duping a Moonak resident of Rs 32.5 lakh on the pretext of sending him to Canada. The matter is being probed by the police.

ASI Bhagwant Singh said the victim, Balihar Singh, alleged that accused Jarman Singh took the money from him between 2017 and 2018. “After Jarman failed to send him to Canada, he started demanding his money back and when the accused did not return it, he lodged a complaint with the police.” — TNS
