Sai Seva Camp delivers 72 free surgeries
Two medical experts from England, Dr Venkat Subramaniam and Dr Pulkit Sethi provided their services at the 26th free surgery camp organised by Sri Satya Sai Seva Samiti in Abohar.
At the closing ceremony, Dr Subramaniam said that he was surprised to know that 25 free surgery camps had already been organised in this small town on the birth anniversary of Sai Baba every year.
Kamlesh Dawar, the chief of Sri Satya Sai Seva Samiti, said, “Sai Baba has taught us that hands that serve are holier than lips that pray.”
He added that over 72 free operations were successfully performed in this year’s camp.
Chief guest Rekha Subramaniam presented mementoes and gifts to those who served at the camp. The recipients included Dr Upasana Bansal, Dr Puneet, Dr CL Bhargava, Dr Naveen Sethi, Dr Satish Jain and Dr Ujjwal Bansal. Dr Guruprasad Bansal, who has been providing free coaching to the youth for the past 20 years, and an 82-year-old nurse, Santosh Bajaj, were also felicitated.
