Jalalabad AAP MLA Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy and SAD district chief Jagsir Singh, alias Babbu, today entered into a heated argument over “non-issuance” of no-objection certificates (NOCs), which are essential for filing nominations for the panchayat elections, at the office of Block Development and Panchayat Officer.

The SAD leader alleged that those in power were exerting pressure to muddle the poll.

He alleged that candidates having allegiance with AAP were being heard, while others were not being given a no-objection certificate to file nominations.

MLA Goldy said everyone standing in the queue was being attended by the staff. If someone wants to create ruckus, then nothing can be done about them, said the MLA.

Babbu said when he reached the BDPO office, those associated with the MLA misbehaved with him.

He claimed that after he talked to the MLA to ensure a fair deal for all, the atmosphere heated up.

Later, cops present on the spot intervened to prevent a clash and pacified both the factions.
